Business aspects of QA in fixed price projects

These days, QA world is devoted to the technological challenges – including automation. As a result, business facing aspect of QA has been pushed aside.  Is it right? In the last few years, the world has made great strides in solving technological challenges from the QA perspective, sadly neglecting the business part. That’s why I would like to convince you that it’s time to get back to business!

I am going to show you how important is proper communication with business and how it influences the success of the project (especially when we are not facing any technology issues). For this analysis I chose the fixed price projects, which are still very popular and often preferred by our customers.

The presentation shows how we changed our approach to such projects through the analysis of identified problems to the solution implemented in Cognifide next projects. l will also consider the impact of Agile on  fixed price projects, which almost everyone associates by default (and rightly so) with the waterfall models.

At the end, I am briefly going to talk about the challenges that are ahead of us like how to better gather quality requirements and translate on project scope.
